




MiraFlex Membrane C is based on a mixture of an acrylic latex polymer emulsion and a novel blend of cementitious and silica powders that react to form a tough, yet highly flexible, water and vapor resistant film. This cementitious membrane is water based, virtually free of volatile organic content (VOC), environmentally friendly, and LEED point eligible.
Applied by roller, trowel, spray or squeegee, MiraFlex Membrane C offers a combination of water protection and mechanical wear, together with excellent adhesion and is more resistant to impact than most membranes. It is applied to floors and molded up onto bases, over curbs, etc. without the use of any adhesive other than its own composition. Among the surfaces that MiraFlex Membrane C can cover are concrete, tile and metal. For wood surfaces, consult Crossfield Products Corp.
MiraFlex Membrane C is applied at 60 mils WFT standard application per coat. Laboratory tests have established that MiraFlex Membrane C will bridge concrete cracks up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) at temperatures as low as 0F. However, prudent design would assume that the product could be expected to bridge a crack of up to 1/16" (1.6mm).
Where to Use
MiraFlex Membrane C can be used in either interior or exterior applications, above grade or below. It is ideal for balconies, planters, decks and roof structures. It is also very useful as an exterior (positive side) below-grade waterproofing material. Other applications include mechanical equipment rooms, secondary containment areas, pools, fountains, fishponds, and most other reinforced concrete structures.
